Hello! I’m Audrey Ricks and I’m a program manager with Building Health Inc. in Pittsburg, Kansas. I oversee in-clinic food distributions at a 11 Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas locations. The clinics refer a lot of patients to community food pantries which vary wildly in capacity and methodology throughout the region. I am hoping to work with these pantries through the Nutrition Pantry Program to create a strong network to support my community. I’m excited to connect with other implementers across the country!
Hello! My name is Abbie and I’m located in Buffalo New York. I am Field Nutritionist for the program Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables and we currently implement the Healthy Pantry Initiative (HPI) PSE. While HPI is technically different than NPP, I am looking for ways to incorporate some of the practices from NPP into HPI. For example, the HPI PSE does not have communication plan guidelines, client needs assessments, or a thorough workplan which I believe is needed in order to make the PSE truly successful long-term. I believe incorporating these strategies and skills from NPP are extremely beneficial to my work and will ultimately benefit the communities we serve!
Hi my name is Darius Glasper. I am a community health worker within the city of San Antonio currently focused on increasing access to fruits and vegetables in areas identified as being in a food apartheid.
