New NPP Implementers, Introduce Yourself Here!

Hi all
My name’s Diana Zamora and I’m a health program specialist for the California Department of Aging. I’ve enjoyed learning the ins and out of NPP implementation and look forward to recommending it as a PSE option for AAAs.

Hello everybody!

My name is Summer G and I’m with Flagstaff Family Food Center in Flagstaff, AZ.

Although we operate a drive-thru distribution, we are looking for ways to improve upon our programs and make them more trauma-informed and client-centered.

Excited to be here and learn from you all!

Hi, my name is Dana, and I am with SNAP-Ed in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Hello, my name is Mary in Shasta County

Hello! I’m Audrey Ricks and I’m a program manager with Building Health Inc. in Pittsburg, Kansas. I oversee in-clinic food distributions at a 11 Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas locations. The clinics refer a lot of patients to community food pantries which vary wildly in capacity and methodology throughout the region. I am hoping to work with these pantries through the Nutrition Pantry Program to create a strong network to support my community. I’m excited to connect with other implementers across the country!

Hello! My name is Abbie and I’m located in Buffalo New York. I am Field Nutritionist for the program Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables and we currently implement the Healthy Pantry Initiative (HPI) PSE. While HPI is technically different than NPP, I am looking for ways to incorporate some of the practices from NPP into HPI. For example, the HPI PSE does not have communication plan guidelines, client needs assessments, or a thorough workplan which I believe is needed in order to make the PSE truly successful long-term. I believe incorporating these strategies and skills from NPP are extremely beneficial to my work and will ultimately benefit the communities we serve!

Hi my name is Darius Glasper. I am a community health worker within the city of San Antonio currently focused on increasing access to fruits and vegetables in areas identified as being in a food apartheid.

Hello! My name is Jackie Rybin and I support NPP work in Arizona. I’ve enjoyed the course so far and looking forward to seeing NPP implementation in communities.

Hello, my name is Natalie Rodriguez and I am a new health educator for CAPK CalFresh Healthy Living. I am excited to start implementing NPP with pantries in my community!

Hello!
My name is Nat, I’m an AmeriCorps VISTA working for St Mary’s Food Bank in AZ. I recently graduated with a BS in Nutrition

Hi! I am Angela Gill, Food Programs Manager with Lighthouse. I took this course for more information about NPP and will be submitting for our pantries certification in the near future. Glad to have access to resources and hope we are able to get all of our pantry locations certified.
