Hello, my name is Raquel Silva.
I am a health educator at CAPK CalFresh Healthy Living, located in Bakersfield, CA.
One action I could take toward a systems approach in my work is by creating a list of community partners to assess their strengths and needs of improvement, as well as collaborating with new partners to support each other.
Hello Raquel! Thank you for sharing! My favorite part of this approach is identifying new partners and expanding a network of people who love their communities and want to create positive change!
Hello, my name is Yulie and I am a community nutrition educator under UCCE CalFresh Healthy Living in Yolo County. One action I could take towards a systems approach in my work is to look at community partners as assets to my work. By identifying different partners and how they fit into this puzzle, we can work together collaboratively to create change across all levels of systems.
Hi! My name is Jen Hardee and I work for Pitt County Health Department in NC. I look forward to working with community partners to help make healthy food/recipes for that food available at food pantry locations and other community locations.
Hi, my name is Naomi and I am a Health Programs Coordinator for the CalFresh Healthy Living program at Lake County Public Health. The PSE work that I am currently focusing on is school gardens. Through systems approaches, I hope to build upon existing and form new partnerships within the school community and surrounding neighbors to hopefully make the school gardens fully sustainable.
Hi! My name is Ashley McAllister. I work for CAPK CalFresh Healthy Living as a Health Educator. We are located in Kern County. We are currently working with the PSE NPP. We have been getting plenty of pantries that are interested in the program and wanting to implement what the program has to offer. I think by connecting partners will be so helpful in Kern County. Resources can be shared and stories can be tools for furthering others along!
